One pound of fat contains 3500 calories, by maintaining a 500 calorie deficit each day over the course of a week we can expect to burn and lose one pound of fat each week (500 calories x 7 days = 3500 calories/week). So, small portions spaced between five or six meals throughout the day will keep your metabolism working on hyper drive, and this means you can eat and lose weight fast!
